Providence Art Club. A meaningful moment for this artist.

Joining the Providence Art Club in early 2026 was a meaningful milestone in my artistic journey. Founded in 1880, the Providence Art Club is one of the oldest art clubs in the United States and has long served as an important part of Rhode Island’s creative community. Located in the historic College Hill neighborhood of Providence, the Club has supported generations of artists through exhibitions, education, and artistic fellowship.

As both an artist and photographer, becoming part of this community has given me a true sense of connection among fellow creatives who share a passion for storytelling, craftsmanship, and artistic expression.

I was especially honored to be mentored and sponsored for membership by prolific photographer Al Weems, whose encouragement and support made the experience even more special. I look forward to sharing new work, participating in exhibitions, and continuing to grow alongside such a talented and inspiring community of artists.
